The Sunny Day 6 on 6 Volleyball Tournament to Benefit the Friends of Austin Animal Center is a non-profit fundraiser that was started in 2014. Local Austin real estate brokerage firm, Sunny Day Real Estate, has teamed up with Austin Animal Center and their non-profit sister organization, the Friends of Austin Animal Center, to create a festive, fun filled day in Zilker Park. This collaborative event features an all day 6 on 6 volleyball tournament, on site dog adoptions, demonstrations and advice from local experts in the fields of dog training and veterinary care, as well as many fabulous raffle items throughout the day.
This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, June 13th. It is only with the help of our many wonderful sponsors, volunteers, and tournament participants that we are able to pull off this fundraiser. If you would like to get involved, you can either register a team to compete in the tournament ($180), become a sponsor of the event ($240), or submit a custom donation amount to the Friends of Austin Animal Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Also, if you have been thinking of adopting a dog, then show up and meet some of the cute dogs that will be on site for adoption that day. You might just meet the best friend you will ever have!
Last Year's tournament was a wonderful success and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout at this year's event.
